I don’t think the two witnesses actually came out and say what they were really thinking when Trump sent his tweet condemning Pence. They both said that it was adding “fuel to the fire”, but I have trouble believing it was the moment they decided to resign unless it was more stark: they interpreted it as a call to kill Pence. ---

It should be noted that there might have been dedicated assassination squads sprinkled in with the crowd. Ergo, the police and Secret Service pretty much had to act as if any rioter they encountered was potentially a member of such. ---

I think they’re using whatever sources do the best job at any given time. I’ve seen Fox, of course, but also CBS, and CNN’s coverage has been mentioned. ---
