Of course, Donald Trump had plenty of other sycophantic yes-men - the Giulianis, the Powells, and others - who were telling him the contrary story. Who was he to believe? (Ans: the ones who told him what he was wanting to hear.) ---

Not to mention people advising him on how to try to steal the election. He didn’t care if a statement was ridiculous. This is about advertising, not the truth. Luria giving examples. ETA: They are working to show T wasn’t misled, but deliberately engaged in deceptive statements. ---

nice toggling between barr and trump. barr tells him x, the next day (the next day!) trump goes on tv and states the direct opposite; over and over. on to the fake electors. ---

the chair did say that today would not just be a hearing, but a committee meeting and there would be votes taken. ---

oooooh, schiff has the secret service part of the presentation. the secret service had quite a lot of information on the various groups gathering for jan 6th. they also had quite a lot of intel on the crowd gathering but not going into the mags. ---

so far, they have only mentioned that the secret service told the fbi. there were multiple weapon arrests along the route, somehow that did not get to the capital either. ---

Schiff demonstrated that the Committee caught Trump aide Jason Miller in a stone cold lie, Miller saying if he knew that his comments on a Trump supporter website were going to inspire violent angry responses, he would have alerted the Secret Service of the threats. This after he had already sent a text message to someone (Meadows?) that he’d gotten the base “FIRED UP!” ---
