The Incitement referral was a bit of a surprise because it’s going to be so political. But I’m glad they did it, because it’s also a crime of which there appears to be a mountain of evidence against certain members of Congress. ---

No deference, no beating about the bush, no trying to tone it down. Just a stark listing of the several crimes of which Trump and his cronies almost certainly guilty. Now to see if anything actually comes out of it. ---

jim jordan, kevin mccarthy, scott perry, andy biggs are the ones referred for sanction. 3 of those are looking for powerful positions in the next congress. ooooh, footnotes, i really enjoy footnotes. ---

Important to remember that these are ‘just’ criminal referrals made TO the Department of Justice. Justice will have to decide whether or not to charge. ---

So what does referred to sanction mean? Does it just mean that “Jim Jordan is a bad boy” get entered in the congressional record or are there any actual significant effects. More importantly are there any effects that aren’t going to be immediately reversed when the Republicans take over in a few weeks? ---
