Someone should remind that bloviating hack that there are legal ways of contesting election results. This is the first time someone has used an illegal way. And WTF is he talking about Hillary Clinton “rejecting” the results? FFS, she conceded on election night. ---

To be fair, in my ire I omitted that Christie was talking mostly about “many Democrats”, mostly out of power and not the candidates themselves, certainly not after all reasonable legal avenues had been exhausted. So I’m sure he can point to a few backbenchers, activists and Internet pundits to support his position. What his whataboutism is intended to obscure is the fact that in this case, the election denial came _right from the top_ and ignored those folks who pointed out to the man in charge that he had simply lost. ---

When my mother parroted that line at me I asked her WTF she was talking about and brought up Hillary’s concession the day after the election. Democrats complained that the winner of the popular vote didn’t win the election, but they abided by it. ---

In my pedantic mode, I would say “was accompanied by and prompted _illegal acts_”. Election denial all by itself is not illegal; the actions taken as a result of that denial were blatantly seditious. ---

Judy Woodruff of PBS just announced the schedule for this Thursday’s hearing: She says it starts at 3:00pm ET (not 1:00 like previously published). Can anyone else confirm that? ---

i was thinking the same thing. even if they won civil judgements against rudy et al, they wouldn’t have the funds they need to feel safe anywhere. they would never see a penny of the judgements. ---
