Putting that in the unwritten part of the speech makes it easier for Trump’s “never write anything down” ethos. An ad lib can still be planned. ---

If I were going to testify before a Congressional committee, I’d like to think I’d make an effort to make myself somewhat presentable. ---

Anybody else get the feeling that we’re going to have another “Cassidy Hutchinson” bombshell, with Mr. Van Tatenhove’s testimony? It seems that the Oath Keepers have little regard for the rule of law, and want to be violent. ---

I feel like Ayres especially might be there with Trump supporters in mind. Help them see that it’s possible to walk away; let them hear echoes of their own doubts. ---

I guess it’s just me. Believe it or not, I actually do have a sense of decorum. My wife says it’s OK to go down to the corner market in my pyjama bottoms. I can’t do it. I understand the ‘Hey, he dresses just like me!’ point, but personally I would have made an effort to dress properly. ---
