Here’s a newflash: Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee. Republicans are agonizing that DOJ won’t take him out of the running once and for all by indicting him. They know he can’t win, but they are terrified of alienating his base. The McConnell wing of the Republican party are wetting themselves in the hope that Trump won’t declare his candidacy before the mid-terms – but if Trump is feeling threatened by DOJ, he probably will. I hope he does. Put it this way: The longer Trump is in the race, the better for Democrats. We’re already getting DeSantis campaign ads for president up here in Oregon.
