Your link is blocked for me at work, but if it is like this one, then that is the peace sign I’m used to. It isn’t until this thread that I really noticed that the other peace sign, or ‘victory’ sign is totally different…even flipped the opposite way. Weird that I never noticed that till now.
ETA: And although I don’t flash that in pictures, I know lots of men do. I would only flash it as a way of greeting to someone too far away to speak to verbally.
