The maneki neko is traditionally a calico cat, so that’s close. But it’s also traditionally a bobtail, and Kitty In 3D has a full and expressive tail

So, kinda close.

Yes! Since this thread was just bumped after a year I thought it was a new thread about a third cat billboard.

There’s a teeny tiny quote mark in front of the 21. That’s your only clue. I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t specifically looking for it.

I thought this thread had been revived because the giant 3d dog billboard installed over Shibuya station. It’s a dog (specifically an Akita) because of Shibuya’s association with Hachiko the faithful Akita.
