A simple bet, the loser must adorn their SDMB posts, for one month after the end of the regular season, with the sig of the winner’s choosing. The wager is thus: I say the Packers will finish ahead of the Bears (suck) in the newly christened NFC North for the upcoming 2002 season. If the Packers finish ahead of the Bears (suck) then I prosose your sig should read: **"Brett Favre is a football god…and the Bears still suck"** Of course, should the Bears (suck) win the NFC North then I will use the sig you so designate. I don’t think I need to mention that the sig should not be offensive in the usual ways (racially, religiously, gender, umm, genderly, sexual oreintation-ly, etc.). Do you accept? ---

Wow, what a terrible bet. jarbabyj gets stuck with a crappy sig if the Bears finish lower than the Packers, and Tretiak gets stuck with a crappy sig if and only if the Bears win the division. What happens if the standings at the end of the year go: Vikings Bears Packers Lions ??? ---

OK, to clarify, whichever team of the two finishes ahead of the other, so if they finish 1-2 or 3-4 so be it. Screw the Vikings and the Lions, that don’t really matter. I assume these terms are acceptable. ---

Just because three of our four starting defensive backs are new doesn’t mean that our defense doesn’t know each other’s names. The first week of practice was full of one of those “Get to know you” games where everyone sits in a circle and says something about themselves, and the next person has to recite what everyone said and their name before taking their own turn. And just because the offensive coordinator has trimmed down the playbook to about six plays in total doesn’t mean that we can’t still rack up the score. If Culpepper throws an interception that’s return for a TD, that’s _technically_ still a passing TD. And just because our first-round pick is still a holdout and has now been demoted from his starting position doesn’t mean that Culpepper will be scrambling for his life on his bum knee. You’re on, jar. And even though the Vikings will be on the road, they’ll still win. I hope you like praising Randy Moss, 'cos you’ll be doing it for 500 words. ---
