# Jared Kushner and Federal stockpiles

That is the reason they have left the sourcing of the PPE’s and everything else to the states. Because they knew they’d be blamed when they failed to respond. I think they are counting on making this the states’ problem as giving them their plausible deniability.
Exactly. If it’s federal, it makes them responsible. And as Trump has said: “I take no responsibility.”
Trump refuses to take the blame for anything but will take credit for any success whether he had anything to do with them or not.

Nope.
The refrain then will be: "“the long national nightmare” is over. (sound familiar?) “We need to move on from this dark period in history. Pointing fingers and assigning blame will not bring people back to life. a long, drawn-out trial would only further polarized the public. So let’s just pretend that Trump never even happened, Mkay?”
This will be followed by Republican obstructionism and refusal to cooperate with Democrat politicians in any way, shape or form, and complete and utter lies and bending of reality; business as usual.

Of course, when a [state](https://www.wcvb.com/article/we-dont-expect-stadiums-family-band-plays-quarantine-concerts-for-their-neighborhood/32048571)(or a [county](https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/whats-up-with-the-feds-seizing-ppe-shipments-to-states-and-hospitals)) does manage to buy PPE, the feds swoop in and confiscate it. So far, no one seems to know where it’s going. I’ve heard rumours (true? false? can’t find a cite yet) that the seized equipment (often N95 face masks) are being rerouted to private distributors for resale. So the states or counties bought the equipment, it was shipped, and before it could arrive, POOF!
But Trump says the states have to buy their own equipment.
