You are all analyzing the comments too much. It was a Penn State troll trying to get a rise out of him. The words didn’t matter. He’s lucky that monster didn’t rip him in half. Last report I saw on X from an insider said ESPN wasn’t going to comment or punish him. ---

Yeah, the creep pushed Kelce too. I also noticed the little pissant also kept his hood up, so we couldn’t see his face. I think it was that guy’s lucky day. He was clearly harassing Kelce. That just isn’t ok. E for clarity. ---

This thread prompted me to do a little research where I learned that nuisance streamers are a thing. These are people who deliberately act in an offensive manner to provoke some sort of response from others. A dude calling himself Johnny Somali was kicked out of Japan last year for his offensive behavior and more recently he’s gotten his ass kicked in South Korea. Probably pissing off a bunch of people in a country where near 100% of the men have served in the military is a bad idea, but you do you, Somali. I think just about all of us has known someone who was deliberately offensive because they felt safe from any sort of consequence. Maybe they just counted on you to be polite or knew you wouldn’t break the rules by retaliating. I have mixed feelings about this because I’m generally not a fan of violence being used against someone who just used words. On the other hand, I would fully expect someone who says certain things to get punched in the face for it. ---

After Kelce smashed the phone, he kept it for a bit, and the guy asked for it back. Probably because he knew it would be worth a lot of money now to a collector, due to the incident. I believe Jason then just dropped it for the guy to pick up. I suspect the guy isn’t really upset about his phone getting smashed; he probably got more than he ever expected from his trolling. ---

Why did they even bother with an investigation when they didn’t have a victim? ETA that’s not meant to be a sarcastic/snotty comment. Was there anything that happened during that interaction that he could have been charged with even if there’s no victim? ---
