Jazz music lovers only: Is anyone thinking about going to the Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans this year?

Enjoy New Orleans! Couldn’t make it this year, but how can you not have a good time! While you’re there if you have time (and a car), you might want to visit the Avery Jungle Gardens, also home of Tabasco.

My best friend will be moving to New Orleans, but not until June. I have stockpiled my Blanche DuBois flowing chiffon lingerie and feather boas, my pink-paper lampshades and my best broken-butterfly facial expression and shall be hitting town like a blowsy tornado sometime—but not in time for the Jazz Fest.
Besides, Flora McFlimsey WARNED me about you people . . . “They’re bad news, sweetie,” she said with her dying breath. “Poison. Cross the street when you see them soming . . .”

Some hotels did have rooms available the last time I checked. If you say you’ll go, I’ll do all the dirty work and get a room!

_First weekend_? _First weekend sucks_! Well, not really, but second weekend is usually blusier.
Let me spend some time with the first weekend lineup, my vacation approval people and the people I was going to travel with this year, and I’ll let you know in a few days. Drop me an email with the condo cost.
Sucks about the mosquitoes; turns out I’m delicious. But at least _those_ mosquitoes don’t carry the West Nile-like Virus.
## And absolutely we’ll be expecting locals to join in any Doper activities that may occur.
