Trump picked one of the worst possible VPs he could have chosen. Vance doesn’t win a single vote over to Trump that wasn’t already going to Trump to begin with - and loses Trump quite a few besides. Had Trump picked Nikki Haley, this would be a competitive presidential election right now. The picking of Vance, combined with the D’s switching from Biden to Kamala, has effectively sunk the Trump campaign. The Rs are trailing by three touchdowns at this point. ---

No matter what kind of language it was couched in, it will never be enough to bolster Vance’s spirit or cushion the blow of having the stuffing knocked out of him worse than the Ottoman empire in World War I. ---
