I’m sure Vance has no compunctions whatsoever about creating lies to benefit himself or his orange master and does it all the time, but in this case he was just happily promoting hate against the immigrant community by giving more publicity to a fake story that was already out there. He’s making the excuse that “his constituents told him about it”, which is code for “he read it on some far-right garbage social media site” or, in this case, that Laura Loomer read it on some far-right garbage social media site and told him and Trump about it. Vance is winning friends at _The Atlantic_. **Excerpt:** _Springfield, Ohio, is just the sort of beleaguered heartland manufacturing town that Donald Trump and J. D.
