Yeah, Yankovich only asks permission because he’s a nice guy. That’s nothing to do with copyright law, just Wierd Al being a mensch. There’s no legal requirement that he do so. ---

The idea that the incoming administration is against all cross-dressing is exaggerated, although I’m surprised they kept the mischievous little girl in the scene. This really is about carving up America and giving it to the insiders. ---

You’ve likely identified The New Reality for everyone who will be interacting with Donald until he dies. (Which I’m assuming will be “in office” in whatever year of his reign he passes.) Vance has to be hurting now–all the reports are of the new romance between Donald and Elmo. My roommate and I watched his speech this morning from Paris. He said he would like to include use of AI in educational curriculum. That’s a good point as I’m now realizing I will probably have to use this in the workplace. He said this inclusion would give opportunity for the students’ independent thought. I suppose it’ll be akin to every student has to learn how to use Office before they graduate from high school. ---
