# Jeb Bush is NOT Testing the Waters

If citing Charles Murray as key mentor isn’t racist, it’s at least _pandering to racists._

If your point is that many Republiopaths aren’t as stupid, ignorant, and bigoted as they seem, I tend to agree – _ **but they deliberately pander to stupid, ignorant, and bigoted voters** _. That seems despicable to me, especially as the pandering prattle is often their only discernable ideology.

I don’t accept that CM is a racist, first of all. But what is this thing about “key mentor”. There is no evidence that the two have even met, much less have any kind of “mentor-mentee” relationship. Jeb read some of his books (no indication of which ones) and likes some of his idea. “Mentor” implies something close to a student-teacher relationship.

Some do. I haven’t seen enough evidence that Jeb falls in that category.
