So I’m working my way through the collected short fiction of Manly Wade Wellman (another one of the old Weird Tales authors), and just ran across a story called “The Dreadful Rabbits”.
What’s next?
“The Guinea Pigs _of Doom!!!_”?
“Satan’s Hummingbird”?
Actually, the story was better than you might expect. It relied on the “you have _got_ to be kidding” aspect of dreadful rabbits.

“Pigeons From Hell” may have had a weird title, but the story itself was quite good.

Actually, there was a book about fifteen years ago entitled **The Platypus of Doom**. The cover shows what I assume to be the titular Platypus floating in space. I think it was wearing a bowtie.
One of my all-time favorite titles, right next to Sharyn McCrumb’s **Bimbos of the Death Sun** and **Zombies of the Gene Pool**.
