I was going to say the same thing. I’m OK with 7-letter words, because I can sort of visualize the word as two groups of four and three letters. But those ultra-long words… I throw out a guess like “vituperativeness,” and the host goes "no, that doesn’t have sixteen letters, we were going for “vituperaciousness.” Sometimes a contestant will hesitate for a moment, and the host will make a comment like “I could see you counting the letters there.” Can anyone really count that fast? ---

The video clip in the Dogs category totally set off my dog. The little nimrod leapt off the couch and started barking furiously at the TV, then ran around the house looking for the interlopers. ---

Maybe in person there’s no problem, but on television, the first impression is ‘that person has mucus/snot dripping down from their nose.’ It’s only on a second look that one sees it’s “jewelry.” She’s a good contestant, though. ---

Every time I see a nose ring like that, I want to hook a rope up to it. 🙂 But she’s good, even if she couldn’t get today’s (Thur) FJ, which seemed it should have been easy. (To be fair, I didn’t get Wednesday’s. I picked the wrong small country.) ---

I find her delay between the time an answer is given and when she declares it correct or not annoying. It’s like she’s looking at someone offstage to give her a thumbs up or down on every question. ---

I would think she could review the questions ahead of time (if that’s allowed), or at least arrange with the producers to work on that annoying pause. Ken doesn’t have that problem. ---

As host, she can, should, and almost certainly does see the game “material” in advance, so she can check on things like pronunciation. So her delays are not (or at least shouldn’t be) due to unfamiliarity with the clues. ---

Shaking my head at the Doolittle raid question. Ok, perhaps none of them knew the target. But when 2 of the 3 Axis capitals were eliminated and the 3rd contestant was “Uh……pass…” I threw my hands up in despair. ---

Most of the popular history and rememberances of WWII are about the fighting in Europe, and Germany specifically. Maybe the contestants had grandfathers who fought in Europe, and so Japan just didn’t enter their minds.
