Apparently, the last ep of this season airs July 29, and taping of the new season starts on or around August 2. So an announcement about the new, presumably permanent, host could come any time. Here’s hoping that this time they don’t change their minds after a week, like they did last year. And here’s hoping it’s Ken, or better yet, Buzzy. And that Mayim is relegated to some spinoff, hopefully short-lived, as most of the others have been. ---

seriously, why isn’t there a keyboard? my handwriting (lefty, public school) is a nightmare in stylist and screen. come on, it is 2022, put in a keyboard. ---

Surprised Friday’s (7/22) FJ was a triple stumper. A Paul Simon song relevant to an inaugural ball in Tennessee in 1993? I had it before Ken finished reading the clue. ---

That’s what I thought, too. But the clue said “his most recent top 40 hit” and I knew that song came out in the mid 80s. (I looked it up - it was '86.) They should have worded the clue differently. Not a big deal but it annoyed me. ---
