I just finished Tuesday’s test. I think I did really well. I got 40 easy, possibly more. Much better than the 25 or 26 I put up last year.

But I missed the one for the 1800s invented language, which I know, but still hasn’t come to me…

Esperanto! Dammit!

[Questions and Answers will appear here at the Jeopardy site soon.](http://boards.sonypictures.com/boards/showthread.php?t=39870)

How’d you do?

Blanked on Esperanto, freelance, Fergie, the female mystery writer, and the sports question.
I believe I got the rest right.

The “fierce” singer is Beyonce Knowles. (Missed that one!)

And the mystery writer is Patricia Cornwell. (Totally blanked on it!)

I know there are a few I missed, like “Out of Africa,” but I’m astisfied. These things are such a rush it’s hard to tell how you did.

The Caveliers player, right?

Lebron James? I think I got that one right.

I feel pretty good. Probably in the mid-40s somewhere.

Missed the “Out of Africa” one, Patricia Cornwell, and at least one other (can’t remember which). And a few I’m not sure of.

But my brain seemed to be cranking along pretty good. Even some that I didn’t know right away, like the ice cream flavor, came to me.

That’s right, I mised the postal-abbreviation-is-preposition one. I couldn’t run through the midwestern states or prepositions fast enough.

And Simon Legree. So I’m at 46 or below, but I don’t think it’s by much.

I forgot to sign up in time for tonight’s test, so I’m taking it Thursday for the “Pacific” crowd.

Last time I tried to take it, my browser never loaded the test window. I got the countdown window after I logged in, but when the test was supposed to load…nothing happened. I have the updated Flash (the Jeopardy site even said so!) so maybe my pop-up blocker wasn’t disabled like they said.

Did anyone else have problems using Firefox for the test? Should I go to IE to be safe?

And for some reason I thought Simon Legree was a character in _Oliver Twist_. Oops.

Oh well. The more I think about it, the more I think I bombed on this test.

Wow, I really botched that one. I couldn’t get the Mayflower or Lake Ontario (answered blank and Lake Huron, respectively), and thought of “Mayflower” just as time ran out. What a frustrating quiz, probably got about 25 correct.

This brings up a question: when a person is generally well-known by their first name, as Beyonce is, is only her first name acceptable in Jeopardy (either in the test or in-game) as her last name would be? (Not counting one-namers like Madonna.) What about Ichiro (Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners, who actually has his FIRST name on his jersey)?

The postal abbreviation one was Indiana, right? I put Catcher in the Rye for the Legree one… was drawing a total blank.

Oops. Thought that was Venus.

I’m guesstimating my score at 40.

It was Patricia Cornwell? Lucky guess then. And my daughter thought the “Fierce” singer was Fergie. (I had nothing for that one.)

But I am sure I got others wrong that I don’t know.

I know I got at least 10 wrong. I was in the middle of typing “Scheherazade” and didn’t finish the “de”, so I don’t know if I will get credit for that one.

Was the ice cream “Rocky Road”?

Yep.

I missed Californium. The questions are popping up in my brain in a weird order. I typed and accidentally deleted “Scheherazade” just in time to end up with a blank.
