Jeremy Clarkson confirms he's starting his own car show, with his two former costars

I believe there are already series with those titles that they may not want to be confused with.

I wasn’t thinking so much of tuning the show to the American market, just that Netflix might be better able to tackle the logistics of a show like this on home soil. Will they be able to get another testing ground like the one they had, the chance to tear up the turf at Wembley, permission to take a hover van on a river, without the BBC backing them up? Netflix might not have the clout to get stuff like that done either, but what influence it does have seems like it would be in the U.S.

Clarkson & friends better be careful what sort of creative control contract terms he signs, but this could potentially be even better than Top Gear.

I assume it’s because each one listed is a different service. If I sign in to Netflix USA, I’ll have different shows and movies to choose from than someone signing in to Netflix Canada. But someone in Sweden and someone in Norway would both be signing into the same service, Nordic Netflix, and have the same movies and shows to choose from. I’m guessing that’s the case.

I would guess they could find a production company based in the UK to team up with that would handle that stuff. Or since the original series are working out well in the US, this could be the first Netflix UK original series. And then if that works out they make more Netflix UK originals aimed at UK interests.

I think the one thing he couldn’t stomach would be if he were stopped from criticising where criticism is due.

They should have Chris Evans as a guest on the first episode.

I don’t think Jeremy would ever get past the Captain America jokes.
