Cameron got stoned of his face too - like any other student. And then there’s Osborne’s dominatrix and coke, but let’s not get sidetracked.

No indeed. There is something else here: Ashcroft’s tax dodging, why Cameron’s people were less than duly diligent when he started to come into prominence in the Tories’ inner circles, and how and why he came to believe what he did for them would lead to a ministerial job. (These are rhetorical questions, since obviously the answer’s money; but it also raises questions about Cameron’s laxity and, if it’s not an unfortunate word in relation to this story, slipperiness).

“propping up”?

I actually struggled to find a single phrase that describes “re-tweeting, discussing and laughing” in one bound.

Let’s start the bidding at £10,000,000
£15,000,000 to the Russian gentleman. Any improvements ?

It was getting to the point where I was expecting the next Telegraph headline to scream that Corbyn was a Muslim born in Kenya.

Nice for #jezwecan to have a few days break before the party conference which I hope, probably unrealistically, the party manages to a properly professional standard.

It was Cameron’s own party doing the pig thing to him, though. I guess they’re getting bored with him.

He was referring to the Indy and the Guardian.

I suspect a lot of the social media users laughing about this aren’t pro-Corbyn at all because _everyone_’s laughing at this. You don’t have to be partisan to find the prime minister putting his penis in a pig funny.

I agree people across the political specturm found the ide of the Prime Minister fucking a pig amusing. It didn’t have to be political, Cameron is seen by very many Tories to be an arrogant, bullying toff. An awful lot of schadenfreude floating round.

But also, politically, the Tory attack dogs were pulled off of Corbyn as soon as they got word of the Mail’s timeline.

Yep, it’s money in the bank for later: Cameron’s Cash for Questions.

The only issue is that Osbourn and not Cameron will likely lead the party at the next election, so when do you use it …

That is pretty brutal, but I do wonder about the 14 holidays in just over three years criticism in the article. I think he rarely takes more than a week at a time. Let’s say that’s 17 weeks out of 156 - that doesn’t strike me as being excessive _at all_ for someone with a stressful, complex, potentially all hours of the day and night, 7 days a week sort of job. Actually, that’s about the statutory minimum for the UK. People need some sort of time off for their health, and the man does have his family life to consider.

The Mail, is of course, on a mission to undermine Bumface, and I have no time for him - but I agree with this. In principle, there’s a lot to be said for non-workaholic ministers. It gives them less time to tinker around making things worse just to look busy, and one hopes they might have more time to develop a hinterland outside politics and administration, and actually _think_ a bit.

It’s as if the Tories enjoyed being in opposition for nearly 20 years, and are trying to speed up the process by having one of their own be allowed so brazenly to character assassinate their leader.

Pretty interesting that it says Cameron and Osborne are into politics purely as a game and not to achieve anything, which is pretty much the impression they give.

Bingo! Metropolitan elites, “Sam Cam has a tattoo _sniff_” etc etc. John Major identified them accurately as “bastards” when he was PM, and they are still there, in the parliamentary party, in the local associations, and in the popular press. 1950s throwbacks, basically.

But did you notice also - the Queen’s input on the Scottish referendum - because people keep telling me that the Monarch has no power any more. Which is funny because politicians seem to pay awfully close attention to what she thinks.
