Are we still on for the 19th? Gotta know, as BabyTee has been invited to his first birthday party, scheduled for the same day. Which invites the question–what do you get the 1-year-old who literally has everything? ---

Two Questions How could a carless NYC doper attend? (NJ Transit? I don’t know) And if the bay area dopers call themselves BADs and those other dopers call themselves MADs why don’t the NY/NJ dopers call themselves NADs? ---

AFAIK, you can’t get to Watchung Reservation by mass transit, but you can definitely get to the Cranford Hotel by the NJ Transit train–the hotel is right by the station in Cranford (Raritan Valley line). If there are enough NY/NJ Dopers with cars though, shuttles can probably be arranged. So where’s **Green Bean** , our fearless leader? (NADs? :: shudder :: ) ---

I’m right here. I was just going to go looking for this thread… Yes, the OcDoperfest is still on. I’m very much looking forward to it. Carless Dopers can easily get to the Cranford Hotel by train, as noted my Ceejaytee. If you want to go on the hike/pickanick, just post here. I’m sure someone will give you a ride. I’m glad y’all want to come! **Ceejaytee** –I sure hope you and babytee and mistertee can come for the dinner, if not the hike. As far as the one-year-old who has everything–how 'bout toys? Would you be up for bagels and a trip to the Imaginarium tomorrow morning? ---

Yes. I spoke with the missus earlier and it seems then the 19th may, in fact, look good for us. So I reckon you can count us in for that, **Beany**. Yeah, count me in, too, at least for the evening. Can we get specific directions to the eatery from the Parkway? “Right in the center of town” is sorta vague… Also, **Green Bean** , about how long will it take to drive from my house? I’m thinking about 45 minutes…? ---

Oh, sorry, all. I didn’t realize that I didn’t post specific directions! I’ve gotta run, so I’ll post all info tomorrow. Cranford is exit 137 off the parkway in any case. I’ll have to track down “official” directions to the reservation. I know how to get there, but have no idea how to describe it! It takes about an hour to get there from the point where the Garden State Parkway intersects with the NY Thruway (87/287). So, Dave, I’m guessing it’ll take you an hour at most. Bouv–2.5 hours?? Heapie–I hope you bring the adorable little one. Hell, if we can get the room I’m thinking of at the Cranford Hotel, we can just pop my Pack’n’play in the corner and chuck all the tots into it. ---
