I’m starting a new thread, because my views are definitely Pit-worthy. Jesse Jackson, you phony son-of-a-bitch. Acting like just any deadbeat from the hood, knocking up a woman who’s not your wife. Yeah, you gave her some money, but at the expense of your own family. Go ahead and cause another sister to be an unwed mother, while preaching to the black man that he’s got to support his family. Well, he means support your family-you don’t do that by cheating on your wife, impregnating your mistress, and siphoning funds from your corporation to pay your mistress. ---

Well, let’s not be too hard on ol’ Jesse. On the plus side, he: [list] [li]acknowledged the child and says he loves her[/li][li]when confronted with the truth, he didn’t lie, cover up, or get others involved in legal bills, unlike certain soon-to-be ex-presidents[/li][li]he **is** supporting the child financially[/li] However, [li]he acted hypocritically counselling Clinton on adultery when he was guilty of the same thing[/li][li]since he fathered a child, we know he wasn’t practicing safe sex[/li][li]and, as the OP noted, he has become yet another sad example of “my baby daddy.”[/li] Jesse has always posed as MLK’s successor, but I don’t think this was the way to emulate him. ---

No, no. Jesse isn’t supporting the child through his corporation. That would be somewhat ethical. He’s supporting her through a NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. Way to go, _Reverend_. ---

Sorry **Arden** , but if I’m the wife in question, I must quote the great Bob Fosse’s lover in _All That Jazz_- “I just wish you weren’t so generous with your cock.” And from what I understand, he only came clean with both his family and the public because he was about to be “outed” by a tabloid. I will be up front and say I never cared for Jesse Jackson. Now I care even less for him. Personally I wouldn’t vote for him for dog-catcher. But that’s me. Not only did he dare to advise Clinton while himself having an affair, he also took his pregnant other woman with him. I know from experience the pain infidelity causes, I also know from talking to some my friends on another message board whose husbands and yes some men whose wives affairs have produced children that when the is a child from the affair the pain is even worse. When you add the fact that the whole country and possibly the world is looking at this his wife must be going though hell multiplied by a thousand. His wife, the five children from his marriage and the child from the affair are all victims of the selfish actions of two very selfish people. If there is something so wrong in the marriage you must play dip the wick with someone else, get out before you do it ! The sad thing is that philandering is almost acceptable in many peoples eyes these days. Yes, I do have an attitude about this ! ---

Not to mention that Unca Cecil says that any evidence of an affair by George, Sr. is “laughably thin.” That aside, I don’t buy into the “Well, HE did it, too.” defense. I find the whole matter very sad for everyone involved - especially his wife and kids (all of them). Heck, I’m still reeling over Bill Cosby! ---
