Saw the strangest bumper sticker on the way to work today. It showed a waving American flag, overlaid by text reading “JESUS BLESS AMERICA”. Huh? I thought it was “GOD BLESS AMERICA,” and even then, when I see one of those, I go into Bill Maher mode and think “It’s the _very least_ they could do.” “Jesus Bless America.” WTF? ---

Well, “God Bless America” is a very inclusive statement. And is therefore wrong. “Jesus Bless America” shows that the car is being driven by someone who not only loves God, but also loves the _right_ God. :rolleyes: ---

I really doubt that the number of stickers and ribbons asking for America to be blessed by God, G\_d, Jesus, Vishnu, Og, Al’lah or whoever, has any effect on America’s blessings. The guy down the street apparently doubts that God hears his prayers, so he has a yard sign asking, “God Bless America,” just in case God is driving by.
