If you read MathewCh16 V 27-28 you will see that Jesus is quoted as saying he would return in his father’s glory,with his angels, before some of them standing there listening to him would see death. There are no 2,000+year old people living today, there is no record of him coming at anytime in his father’s glory, nor with any angels. Nor did the world end in that generation as was quoted. It is a matter of belief, if one wants to believe that Jesus is coming again after 2,000 years that is up to them. But I don’t know why it would be a secret and only over 80 years later was it talked about in the NT, John would have been 95 at the time and he was (it is my understanding) that he was very young when Jesus spoke with him last and at the time of the death of Jesus. ---

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus shall we always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.” (I Thessalonians 4). Not sure where he will land or if the people on the opposite side of the planet will see it somehow or just hear the shouting and trumpets. Actually, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Middle East so the descent would have to be along the same y-axis I guess. ---

I never understood the disconnect between the circumstances of Jesus’s birth and death. He’s got wise men from the east showing up with gifts and junk, and then nothing until his ministry and condemnation? We’ve got child _actors_ that get more scrutiny than that. ---

Now, now, the growth and development of the supposed God on Earth during those trying times of youth, namely puberty, and young adulthood are mere trifles. Sorry, but there’s no such thing as a biologically healthy human teenager that is without sin (lust anyone?). If Jesus had some extra sin-resistance powers, then the rest of us should stop being forced to feel bad about sinning and falling short. ---
