Muslims get bashed 24/7 on right wing radio. I never hear offenderati Christians ever complaining about any other religious view but their own being criticized. ---

No they don’t. Muslim terrorists, on the other hand, are looked down upon by right wing radio. The last time someone came close to insulting Islam was Pat Robertson who compared the people who wanted to wipe Israel off the map to Hitler. That caused riots around the world. If he urinated on a symbol of Islam it would have been infinitely worse. ---

I listen to right wing radio a lot during the day. Muslims, as a whole, are bashed non-stop. So are atheists. ---

Since not all Christians are gullible enough to believe in ridiculous miracles, he clearly wasn’t insulting all Christians. And really, there are a lot more offensive things that one can do than urinate on a replica of what a group of people, thousands of years ago, thinks Jesus may have possibly looked like. ---

I’ve heard all the major radio show hosts specifically explain the difference between terrorists and the Islamic religion. If condeming terrorist acts is wrong then you have to start with every President and work your way down. ---

I would suggest, respectfully, and at the risk of junior modding, that a general discussion about right wing talk regarding Muslims and terrorists be moved to GD or BBQ. ---

The insult is peeing on a religous icon. It is also insulting to make fun of people’s beliefs. It is a contradiction to think a belief in a miracle would be any different than other aspects of a religion and therefore OK to ridicule. The fact remains that Christians are considered fair game because it’s safe to do so and Muslims are off limits because people would die in the riots that follow. It is the double standard that people most object to on this board. ---

Oh for God’s sake. He didn’t “pee on” a painting of Jesus. He peed into the toilet and it splashed up, and Larry being Larry couldn’t bring himself to touch the droplet. That is a completely different scenario than him seeing a painting of Jesus and thinking “I’m going to urinate on that.” One is deliberate & offensive, one is accidental and humorous.
