Further – taking your example, you could easily fill in the blanks around here: "NOOO, you don’t understand, (Lynn / Opal / Tuba) is truly (battling health issues / an arteest on another plane / unpaid and sick of your shit) and how dare you (call her on her contradictions / mock her self absorption / threaten litigation)?! Constant refrain from the peanut gallery, lather, rinse, repeat. ---

I think his point was that someone’s popularity on a message board will affect how others defend/decry their eating habits. Thus, Ms. Type 1 diabeetus was heavily defended by her supporters, but we’re all piling on to **Stoid** and **Lynn** ’s eating habits because we hate them. So, along those lines (poss. defense of **Stoid** and **Lynn** ), I feel like something I notice when I observe heavier women eating out (in my creepy stalker way), is that they generally eat v. little in group settings, and always drink diet sodas. Has anyone else noticed this? Are they all gorging in secret? ---
