We used to call that Drowning Jesus. It was tacky as anything, but I sort of hope they rebuild it. We’d play a game with the kids to see who could be the first to spot Drowning Jesus. ---

Is it attached to the church? Or is it just out front? Hard to tell from the pictures, but if it is attached they were lucky it didn’t burn the whole church down. Still, wouldn’t it be great if they could manage to put it back up on the third day? Oooohhh Ahhhhhh! ! ! ---

Which of course begs the question: do Christian churches have insurance against “acts of God”? 😃 ---

Well, I don’t know about that, but I do think God (especially Zeus) hates Christians who built a statue out of flamable materials with a metal frame that’s the highest point on the landscape.
