Here you spew bullshit about a “sacral brain”. That is like saying “brontosaurus lived in water”. Only a total ignoramus who has not read a book less than 30 years old would believe that. Maybe if you pulled your head out of your ass once in a while you would know that, moron. Three posters point out your error and you have the audacity to cite Jack Horner and Bob Bakker. WTF is up with that?!? They are pop paleontologists only interested in selling dinosaur books to kids, not real scientists. That is like referencing Dr. Laura in a thread about therapists! Idiot! [In this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=136138) you claim the Apple Macintosh “Switch” ads are false advertising. That’s a damn lie and you know it! As **yosemitebabe** pointed out, they are 100% accurate and only an insecure, jealous PC luser with something to prove would claim otherwise. Everything you install on a PC requires at a minimum installing drivers so the stupid hardware can recognize it and almost every time you will have conflicts and problems that require a PC tech to figure out. While you’re pulling your hair out over your buggy piece of shit PC, I’ll be laughing at you while happily _using_ my Mac where everything always works right the first time automatically, moron! ---

With regard to the Macintosh Switch ads: **Jet Jaguar** wasn’t lying. He said that he doesn’t know anyone who’s had the problems the person in the commercial has claimed to have. Meaning, in his experience, in the circle of people he knows, none of them has had PC problems of the nature the person in the commercial did. He didn’t say that PCs don’t have those problems. Unless you know the people he does and are thoroughly familiar with their computer woes, you cannot call him a liar. You have to admit that the claim that “Macs don’t crash” (which was made by the lawyer chick) was an exaggeration at best, and a blatant lie at worst. Macs don’t crash? Mine just did, when some stoopid website was loading something and crashed IE, taking the OS with it. Even OS X, with its improved stability, isn’t 100% crash-proof. I welcome you to the board, **Copper Pin**. But as a word of warning, from one Mac user to another, if remarks like **Jet Jaguar** ’s are enough for you to launch someone into the Pit, you better take tranquilizers before you read the Mac/PC bashing threads here. ---

Okay, first off, pitting somebody because they’ve been misled by some third party about an obscure fact in a minor branch of science is incredibly lame. However, it’s not half as lame as pitting somebody over what type of computer they prefer. Somebody do us all a favor, take one of the guns from the dinosaur hunting thread, and shoot this rant in the head. ---

Don’t they know that the PC expert has proclaimed them non-working! My the God Jobs proclaimed it- so it must be true. Even if the God Jobs charged Mac users for a simple update to the OS they already paid for (but it has a knickname, that’s worth paying for an update- right?) Only Microsoft is greedy. Only 20-30% of the games ever make it to Mac, even those few only after months later then the PC folks get them. Intel Conspiracy! 11 posts- your off to a good start. Please share more of your “wisdom”. computer disclosure- own a PC, but did tell my mom to get an I-Mac (very newbie friendly IMHO). ---

Okay, confession time. I have thought about getting a Mac next time I get a new computer, for various reasons. One of the main things stopping me before was the lack of games, but that seems to not be so much of an issue anymore. However, why I have refrained, and still am a bit lerry of doing so has nothing to do with using a Mac. The truth is, I don’t want to become a _Mac User_. Now, I’m not trying to come down on people who use Macs. I’m not saying that people who use Macs are bad. They’re not. It’s just that many of them are, well, very vocal. Very very vocal. As in, “would you please shut up about your fucking Mac now and how much better it is than anything else in the world including oral sex?” Same thing goes for Linux. I’ve yet to meet a Linux convert who wasn’t more obnoxious about Linux than many religious converts are about their new religion. Now, my main problem with Linux is, again, the games - I mainly play games on my machine, so if I can’t, there isn’t much point. But the users also have made me want to stay away. I don’t THINK I’d be like them, but you never know. And I’d hate to wake up one day and realize I’d become a Linux zealot. (Also, the people I know who use Linux never seem to DO anything on it other than install stuff. And then install more stuff. And then install different stuff. And then install upgraded stuff. They never seem to use the stuff, just install it.) Maybe eventually I’ll get over it. I’ll back up Jet in that I really haven’t had as much grief with a PC as the people in the switch ads seem to have, and don’t know anyone else who has. (However, one of those Linux people I know - never had a major problem with Windows until they switched to Linux, and then suddenly Windows had become this unending nightmare from which they narrowly escaped.) So some day, when I’m ready to make a purchase and don’t mind re-buying some of the games I already have, I’ll go Mac, but I know I’m gonna feel kind of queasy for weeks afterwards. I’m not proud of feeling this way, but I do. ---
