Did’nt Mythbusters build one of these? I recall it did not get off the ground. They did just use plans they bought from the internet though ---

[Here’s a variation](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-KczCp0OQ4) that might be considered an also-ran. But I bet it’s a darn sight cheaper than some of those other models. The fine print probably says “Large body of water not included”, of course. ---

Sadly, while strapped to a Jetlev I think the likelihood of dieing in a plummeting shrieking fireball flinging metal shards the entire way down seems distant.
