My mini-rant is that this thread has taken a turn away from mini-rants and into people arguing. Here’s hoping August brings a more peaceful group rantologium. ---

No, I’ve got a better game for you. Guess which way in to your office tomorrow won’t have you shuffling through flood water up to your waist in pee, feces, and rat pellets? The train…? The subway? Uber? Or will you walk it and hope ten taxis don’t splash you before you get there? Then, the suits and skirts of you and your colleagues will start to dry out. ( Oh how your cubicles and offices will reek. ) And then, after your shift, you’ll get to do it all again… Backwards! ---
