I agree it’s more useful with the MMP because it changes so often. We won’t bother with it, then. I don’t think anyone pays much attention to it, anyway. ---

Why cannot my phone’s autocorrect ever believe me when I type “its” with no apostrophe? It _always_ switches it on me. And then the few times I deliberately use “it’s”, autocorrect changes it again. Bastard. ---

@SuntanLotion, I would like to lodge a complaint with The Committee! Why can I not buy [these tape dispensers](https://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Easy-Grip-Packaging-Dispenser-DP-1000/dp/B001BM2M8Y) anymore? They are awesome and pretty and everyone in my office loves the one I have, which may be the last one on earth and I’m afraid it will be stolen. They’ve been unavailable for maybe a year, during which time I have checked back again and again. It’s just a damn piece of plastic, I truly don’t understand what the holdup is, or why some other company doesn’t make something similar. ---

I’m baffled why / how that one is so superior to all the other dozens of packing tape gun designs available at any office supply place or hardware store. Or their online equivalents. Seems to me yours is a design that’s limited to taking only the extra small, extra expensive, Scotch-branded mini rolls of packing tape. Yes it’s sort of smooth and sleek and vaguely X-rated looking. What am I missing here? ---

Got Ollie out of his crate at 8:30 a.m., we’re doing fine on time, take him outside for potty tasks. He pees. He poops once. I bring him back in the house to get his crate situated in the car. Take Ollie out for Poop #2. Of course he won’t do it. So off we go to the kennel. Ollie poops in his crate 5 minutes into the 10 minute journey. Ain’t we got fun? The past hour has been spent cleaning Ollie, his bedding, his crate and me. At least his goddamn nails are trimmed! I leave shortly to get an MMR vaccination. I’m looking forward to that more than this morning’s ordeal. ---

It’s just small, comfortable, and easy to load. Every time someone borrows it from me, they say, “Oh, this is nice! Will you get me one?” and I can’t. Also, mine is pink which makes it extra rare (I got a special breast cancer awareness model). I’m thinking I should have it engraved with my name. ---

I innocently went grocery shopping this afternoon. Some of the items I wanted were just ordinary staples, others were a few things they didn’t have in stock before but I was hoping they’d have them by now. What a disaster of a shopping expedition. Do you ever have days like this? They had practically nothing I needed. None of the more interesting fresh rice bowls. No frozen Won Ton soup. Not even vanilla ice cream sandwiches – caramel and Neopolitan, sure, but not vanilla, except in a “no-name” variety that was undoubtedly low quality ice cream. I got a couple of subs, a Greek Acropolis salad, and a jug of spring water, and that was it. But I’ll tell you what they did have. A horrible woman with two Kids from Hell that she had absolutely no interest in controlling. They ran out of control throughout the store, shrieking their little heads off, meddling with the merchandise, while this woman calmly went about her shopping, ignoring the chaos. I would have said something to her about controlling her damn brats, but at the point I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I don’t know how I missed this news, but back in March Microsoft announced that Publisher will reach end of life in October 2026. 🤬 I STILL USE THAT PROGRAM, YOU SHITASSES!!! I guess I’m the only one? You would think that one little legacy program would be a drop in the developer bucket compared to the bloated masses of their other office products (not to mention a fucking operating system that can’t handle a desktop background slideshow without stalling). I’m certainly one of the few at my company who knows what to do with it. Sure, I can export all my Publisher files to PDF and then to Word, but the resulting graphics are converted to pictures rather than document elements that respond to changes in the document’s theme. The biggest hit will be to the building maps I created to support the company’s safety inspections…they’re loaded with little icons, and Publisher was just perfect for handling those. As far as I can tell, my best option there is recreating all the maps in another program. On the plus side, corporate IT finally saw fit to activate Inventor Professional on my computer, so otherwise I had an absolute blast at work today.
