It’s easy: Renee Zellweger is the one with the successful movie career. Joey Lauren Adams is the one who sounds like she breathes helium. We should add Julie Benz to the mix. She looks and sounds just like Joey! ---

I always thought it was Joey Lauren Adams in Empire Records. Lo and behold, it has recently come to my attention that it was Renee Zellweger. I haven’t gone back and seen the movie, but I still can’t admit that it was not JLA. I can see her perfectly in my head. Oh well… ---

Maybe Joey Lauren Adams is just a “sock puppet” for Renee Zellweger. That way she can do really slutty roles like Fingercuffs and still maintain respectability. I never see them at the same place together. ---

Good to know I’m not the only one who can’t tell them apart. I also though it was JLA in Empire Records. I haven’t seen much of Jewel (or maybe I have!) so I don’t really know how confused I would be about her. Recently, I can just assume it’s Renee Zellwegger, as the other two have all but disappeared from the universe. Or maybe they haven’t, and I’m still confused about who’s who… ---

Yeah…I’ve always thought they were all exceptionally good-looking. I guess I’d have to rank them: 1-Joey Lauren Adams…I don’t mind her voice! 2-Jewel 3-Rene Zellwegger. Weren’t Joey Lauren Adams & Rene Zellwegger both in the film **Dazed & Confused** together? That would make _me_ pretty dazed and confused… ---

Miller, I’ve said the same thing to my wife in the past about Griffith and Ryan. I also throw Goldie Hawn in there, even though she’s a bit older. I got all 3 of them confused. ---

I’m not sure who JLA is (I live in a bubble drawn by toddlers), but I think the resemblances between Jewel and Caroline Dawn Johnson are uncanny. I also constantly mix up Meryl Streep and Glenn Close (I apologize for any/ all misspellings). ---

But since we’re on the topic of female celebrities who seem to look alike… …I’ve always thought that LeeLee Sobieski (my apologies for butchering her name if I did) was just a younger Helen Hunt.
