Most Dopers don’t judge people by their religion or ethnic affiliation, so you probably won’t get much traction by proposing that politicians are less trustworthy or less patriotic because they are Jewish or because they are related to Jews. You might have more luck at Stormfront – they seem to feel pretty similar to you as far as politicians with ties to Jews. ---

Hm, let’s see here. One of my dad’s best friends is Jewish. A lot of his other friends are Jewish as well. Another of my dad’s best friends is Italian-American. From _New Jersey_. My dad himself is German-American (including Austrian-American because the boundaries are quite recent) as far as the eye can see. He currently lives and works in New Mexico and so has made friends with locals. _Hispanic_ locals. My mom’s brother is gay. _West Coast_ gay. Her family has included people who lived in what hyperexcitable media would describe as a small family compound on an Indian reservation. Oh. I myself personally am a computer geek, born and raised, and can therefore voodoo hex all of your hardware, software, and major appliances from the comfort of my apartment. I guess my point is, fear me, for I am connected to potential movie villains and general-purpose Scary Groups through both lines of descent. Pheer! ---

The marriage of Chelsea Clinton and her husband was jointly officiated by a Methodist minister and a Jewish rabbi. You are aware, aren’t you, that many Jews specifically say that the child of a non-Jewish mother isn’t Jewish, regardless of what the father is? It’s more likely, I would guess, given what I know of Chelsea and her husband, that Charlotte will go to both Christian and Jewish services and celebrate both Christian and Jewish holidays and will be allowed to decide what religion she considers herself when she is an adult.
