Mahathir is a bona fide arsehole. His office has been characterised by frequent anti-Australian racist nonsense. I was almost glad to hear his latest outburst, if only because it broadcast his peculiar brand of idiocy to the wider world. Our PM typically ignores Mahthir’s comments, but it was heartening to see him break silence over this particular speech. ---

I agree on the arsehole bit. Unfortunately, our governor frequently uses Mathahir as an example of how the Japanese government should act. ---
