You people are nuts. Now this thread belongs in ATMB (where I cross-posted it, so sue me), MPSIMS, IMHO, and maybe Great Debates. Okay, here’s the General Question I answered with my first post: What was my name at birth? As I said before, nothing else has changed. I am still married to Mr. Gat, and Mr. Magruder is/are my dad and my brothers. And wasn’t that photographer of the assasination Mapruder or something? And then there was Jeb Stuart of Watergate fame. While most of the references to **Jillgat** in the usernames on this message board have been automatically updated, unfortunately the same isn’t true for written copies. For example, despite the change, my copy of _Triumph of the Straight Dope_, on page 204, still reads “JILLGAT”. I would hope that the _Reader_ plans to issue corrected copies of the books to all its purchasers, reflecting the new name. However, if they plan to do the corrections by hand, I only ask that they be done neatly, using black ink. For me, the most convenient time for the _Straight Dope_ representative to come by to make the corrections is Saturday, around two-ish.
