I dunno who Slappy is, but I know Jimmy Joe. He’s not anyone I liked all that much, but I don’t remember him doing much. Did I miss somethin? ---

**Slappy’s** banning was announced by **Marley23** in [this post.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=12017870&postcount=72) In [this post](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=12017941&postcount=76) in the same thread, **Marley** linked to another thread in which **Jimmy Joe Meager** had been posting (and where he now appears as banned), indicating the connection. ---

I would have posted about this had either been banned alone, but it seemed like the mods had the sock thing proven, though they could have been more forthright about it instead of hinting around. Fine by me as long as the IPs match or whatever. ---

Why don’t we have a thread for banned members like we used to? When I see an unexpected banning I come to ATMB to check it out, and recently there has been nothing about it. Even a running thread updated with new bans with links to explanations would be nice. ---

We usually skip that step for people who are trolling or who have sock accounts. I did announce it in the Pit, so I thought the posters who were interested would see it there.
