I’m sure that some other contestants would like to have him around just so that they can say they knew him/played against him. On the other hand, others would probably feel that he can’t need the money and would try to vote him off early. Also, he’s old for a Survivor contestant. My guess is that he’s tough as nails but that’s just a guess. At any rate, I hope it’s true. ---

That would be interesting – but it’s hard to tell from his TV personality if he would be very good. First of all he’s 67; he might be in good health but there’s no way he can hold his own with a bunch people less than half his age. And he can’t be too mean or cutthroat, since he can’t have people hating him when he comes back to TV in the fall. It would be kind of interesting to watch, though – I’ve always wondered what _Survivor_ would be like with a couple of celebrities thrown in. ---

Weird, but I can’t imagine he’ll last long at all. He’s instantly recognizable, so unless there’s some incentive to keep him around, he’s got an unfortunate trifecta of old, rich, and famous that sure won’t help keep him around. Weird that they pulled from football again for their second semi-celebrity. Gary Hogeboom made the jury back in Guatemala. He had the advantage of not being in the public eye recently, but Danni still recognized him. ---

IIRC, Jimmy Johnson is a analyst for Fox Football. It seems really strange that he would be a contestant on one of CBS flagship shows. Unless of course he has jumped ship and signed with CBS football. ---

Well fuck me - I thought Jimmy Johnson had to be some NASCAR driver, cause no way could it be that old man, right? Edited to add: Jimmy Johnson _is_ a driver. I thought so. ---
