I saw a FB post which I have no idea is true or not which states that Kimmel spent 90% of the monologue on the Epstein files. So perhaps that was the bigger reason for the censorship happening when it did, with Kirk being the implausible stated reason. Another reason for the public to keep loudly clamoring for the Epstein files. ---

Doesn’t really sound like it from the NYT article. He had planned to address the hubbub in the following night’s show, but they suspended the show instead. There was a lot of blowback from all of it, but the official press release on his return couched things in reasonableness. The best news is that Trump has to stop gloating about it, which will just really piss him off. ---
