[Jay Johnston fired from Bob’s Burgers for joining in on The Insurrection.](https://www.thedailybeast.com/actor-jay-johnston-banned-from-bobs-burgers-over-capitol-riot) A friend of mine said they should have kept him and done a whole story arc about Pesto joining in on the riot. Do you think they’ll just replace him with another voice? Seems like the best option. I can’t imagine getting rid of the whole Pesto family. ---

One suggestion I’ve heard floating around is for them write off his character by having something happen to him (maybe even what happened in real life) and have a relative or replacement character show up to take over his job and general role. And some have suggested it would be a great way to finally introduce his ex-wife. ---

I think they should introduce the ex-wife, and set her up in a rivalry with Trev over who has control over the restaurant. ---

Jay Johnston’s been one of my favorite, “Hey, it’s that guy!” actors since his run on _Mr. Show_. Now it turns out he’s a traitor. Bummer. ---
