Joan of Arcadia 1/16, Or When the Parents Are Away, God will Play

Oops…pushed send too soon. So, did you folks know it’s already been granted a second season?

Woo-hoo!

Excuse me – once I get hooked on a show it’s usually doomed unless it’s on TLC in which case it will run forever.

Elfkin, I assume that, even though they had a paid reservation, the hotel asked for a credit card to cover incidental charges such as, say, dinner at that Vegan restaurant they mentioned. I handle my company’s travel arrangements and, even when booking flights using Frequent Flier miles, I still have to provide a credit card for miscellaneous fees and taxes.

One question I forgot to ask in my last post: when will Luke realize that Friedman is pretty much everything you don’t want in a friend?

I found out that Amber Tamblyn is 20 years old. I don’t feel nearly as dirty watching her on television now. And yes, Baldwin, Mary Steenburgen is as lust-worthy as she was in Goin South.

Well, after not being able to get on all weekend!

I’m glad they handled Joan/Adam the way they did. They kissed in a moment of weakness, pure joy over being friends again, and the awkwardness afterward was perfect.

I think Helen is a bit blind to Will’s feelings, which I found a bit strange considering how much empathy she has toward Kevin. Her husband was taken hostage and nearly killed, and she didn’t even think he might be a bit shook up over it.

As far as Chief (yes, I know he’s no longer “Chief,” but it’s shorter than saying Head of Detective Bureau) giving up his gun, I thought that was COMPLETELY wrong. He’s a cop. He should never be forced to surrender his gun. And I was surprised that Helen silently begged him to do so.

Kevin and Cute Reporter Girl (what is her name?) kissed. Woohoo!

I don’t know if next week is a repeat, but it’s being covered up by a Billy Graham special this Friday. Grrrr…
