I agree. It played out like an after school special.
I hate the lawsuit plot thread. It’s way too contrived. It’s as if Joan’s crises of faith and mom’s search for faith isn’t enough to carry an eopisde; they have to drop the giant anvil of a lawsuit on the family (not to mention the cop stuff…but I almost never like the cop stuff).
Add Adam to the long list of characters that bug me. What a stick-in-the-mud.
