I wasn’t thinking of his career; I was thinking of his well-being. Although he has repeatedly proven himself a terrific actor, the jury’s still out on his musical ability (aside from Johnny Cash impersonations). Given the way his brother died, I think the last thing a possible-addict might need is an environment that’s even more conducive to at-risk behavior.

Key words there.

Why are the people commenting on that site so fond of the word douche? And why the hate for Joaquin? I’ve never heard anything about his personal life, but I think he’s a fine actor.

I felt sorry for the interviewer. Then I reminded myself that he makes a lot of money basically for looking good in a suit, and I got over it.

Maybe he prefers to interact/create with musicians rather than actors. Musicians also have a lot more control over their projects. imho anyway, what do I know?
