# job app. having a drink while filling out app.?

So it’s restaurant work. But how do we feel about this?

“I think I’ll pound the pavement and find a job today.”

Then get to oh, say, the second place, ask for an application, sit at the bar. Then order up a pen and a vodka cranberry. Maybe ask if a Manager is available for a moment of their time…

The fact that this is a college town explains quite a bit of it, however, the restaurant is pretty high end and a ten mile drive from the epicenter of the campus. But isn’t this still a little nuts?

I’m going job hunting on my next day off just to see what happens!

Well, I used to work in a bar, and I used to do some hiring there, and no, it wouldn’t impress me.
