**lauramarlane** , here’s another piece of guy info. You know how it looks like baseball players, particularly pitchers, are scratching themselves in the crotch? They’re not really scratching themselves. When the pitcher throws a pitch, his body is spiralling around an axis centered on his pelvis. This often throws the plastic cup inside his jock strap out of alignment — painful. The pitcher is trying to move the cup back into place over his privates. ---

I wear a strap and cup in ice hockey each week. While you notice it a bit at first, after about 10 minutes on the ice you forget about it and just play. Though skating might be an easier motion than running, where there’d be more chafing going on. Lockz - those goalie ones are _huge_. Nothing getting through that thing. Our goalie’s has a big bullseye painted on the front of it, just to tempt fate. -Jeff ---

I play a lot of sports, and it depends on the sport as to whether or not I wear a jockstrap. Hockey - Jock and cup Football - Nothing Soccer - Nothing ---

Two jock memories: Humiliation as I went to the men’s clothing store to buy school clothes and my mother was with me. Reading from the list of things sent from the school, she said, “What, you need to have a jockstrap?” If a 12 year old boy could have died of embarrassment, my funeral would have been the next day. Fast forward to Berlin. Working out at a gym a couple of times a week. A month later a German guy at the gym asks me if I had been in a car accident. I was surprised and the question and said no. “They why do you always wear that truss.” Actually…for those so inclined, there are websites dedicated to photos of men wearing nothing but jocks. I won’t/can’t post a link here, but a clever search engine would be able to find it for you. ---

I still prefer my perv theory, though. So, why are football players always slapping each other on the ass then? Is it an undergarment adjustment thing, some form of behavioral modification, or they just like it? 😉 **Casey1505** , all I have to say to that is----EWWWW! Jeez, I hope for the sake of all those around you that you won soon. **DMark** –I have a similarly humiliating girl story I can share. When I was in ninth grade I went school shopping with my mom. She was helping me in the dressing room and the place was packed with other girls and their moms.
