New show based on CJ Box’s books. So far just one episode.Being an avid CJBox fan I was looking forward to it. I’ll give it more time. The only casting I find correct, so far, Carol Laurence, as his MIL.

Thanks for posting this. Looking forward to it. I like Michael Dornan. He was great as Gordo in ‘For All Mankind’ and in ‘The Patriot’. He seems to be just about perfect for Joe Pickett.

Just watched the first ep. It’s not the kind of subject matter I would usually be interested in but damn if the constant commercials with him singing that song didn’t suck me in. Very effective promo. I want to say I like Michael Dornan, but he reminds me (physically) of someone I decidedly do not like and it’s distracting me a bit.  
Regarding the scene with the poacher, I was sure it was going to be revealed that he actually shot the guy, to show he really has a dark streak and that all the aw shucks, I’m just an upstanding game warden stuff is just an act. Of course we later see that poacher dude is connected to others in the story so it wouldn’t have made sense.

I’ll definitely watch a few more eps but if, as I fear, we’re going to see a lot of animal killing, then that will be a deal breaker for me.
