[/QUOTE] I agree, but it sounds like Boston might pull of the deal for less than the Yanks offered. It will be interesting to watch. I think I already mentioned, I am hoping the Twins just play him out in 2008 along with Nathan. The Yanks free up $80m+ at the end of the season and will need one starter and one CF or RF and maybe 1B. That is a lot of money to sign Santana and maybe 2 others. Jim ---

So you’re openly rooting for the Yankees to wait for free agency, and then just overpay and buy Santana in the open market? ---
