# John Denver Arrested in Pakistan

Well, technically it was [Gary Brooks Faulkner who got arrested](http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/06/bin_laden_hunter_has_criminal_record.php?ref=mblt). John Denver died in a plane crash years ago. But every time I see the pic of Faulkner in the news, I think “Wow here’s a story about John Denver, he’s looking pretty Grizzly Adams these days.”

Here I thought JD had faked his own death to become an undercover CIA spook and got caught so the Secretary had to disavow any knowledge of his actions.  
The JD song I’ve had stuck in my head for days is “Calypso”, because I had read about Jacques Couteau’s centennial recently.
