John Fetterman enters hospital for depression (2/16/2023) {Leaves 2023-04-01}

Me too. I attended one of his rallies after he was back on the campaign trail. He spoke eloquently and coherently for a good 20 minutes. Depression after a stroke is quite common. Think about it. Depending on the severity, you may have to re-learn common everyday tasks. I can imagine it must be frustrating at times, and frustration can lead to depression.

My father had a stroke, and though he had some lingering physical weakness, he did pretty well, and he was 90 when it happened. I have no regrets after having voted for Mr. Fetterman and wish him a speedy recovery. He has never let anything hold him back his entire life. I have no doubt he will bounce back and will be a strong voice for Pennsylvania.

I’m surprised he was in the hospital for 6 weeks for clinical depression–I had assumed the inpatient stay would be very short and he would mostly be treated as an outpatient.

The hearing tests may have been part of it. I’m glad he’s back and doing better.
